Created by Monty, the brand merges personal experience, humor, and social tension into conceptual illustrations that act as both mirror and megaphone. Her hand-drawn visuals blend bite and beauty, turning discomfort into something wearable, visible, and collectively felt.
Monster Slayer is an award-winning short documentary that follows the journey of LA artist and dancer Stephanie “Monty” Montgomery; after Monty is sexually assaulted at the strip club where she works, she weaponizes public art to pursue justice against a system’s refusal to act. Monty created all of the artwork brought to life by animation in the film.
